Garden vehicles generally refer to electric or lightweight vehicles used in landscaped areas, tourist attractions, or for small-scale transport; their core technical principles are similar to those of small electric cars. Powered by a battery, the vehicle uses an electronic control system to supply power to the drive motor, which converts electrical energy into mechanical energy to drive the wheels. Compared to internal combustion engine vehicles, they feature a simpler structure-eliminating complex components like engines and transmissions-resulting in lower maintenance costs.
These vehicles typically utilize brushless DC motors or AC asynchronous motors, paired with controllers to regulate output power and speed. The driver sends signals to the controller via the accelerator pedal; the controller then adjusts the motor speed based on input voltage changes, enabling smooth acceleration and deceleration. Some models incorporate energy recovery systems that convert kinetic energy back into electrical energy during downhill travel or braking, storing it in the battery to extend the vehicle's range.
The chassis and control systems are designed to be lightweight yet stable. Steering systems often employ mechanical gears or electric power-assisted mechanisms to ensure agility, even at low speeds. Braking typically relies on a dual system combining mechanical brakes with electronic braking, ensuring safety and reliability on slopes or when carrying heavy loads. The overall design prioritizes low-speed stability and maneuverability, making these vehicles well-suited for use in parks, on lawns, and along paths in scenic areas.
